School counseling mission:
Sidney City Schools school counseling programs are designed to help all students develop and enhance their academic, social, career and personal strengths in order to become more responsible and productive citizens. Counselors customize educational experiences for students in order to enhance capabilities, support choices, and also provide supports and resources to families and teachers.
counseling department vision
With the latest information on academics, college and career readiness, and social/personal issues, our school counselors serve as a ready resource for Yellow Jacket students who need advice or encouragement. The counseling department also partners with students’ parents, teachers, administrators, and our community to make sure the best resources are available to help students become lifelong learners, productive workers, and responsible citizens.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the resources offered by the Sidney High School counselors. They are welcome to make an appointment with their counselor at any time during the school day.
